Sorry you had a bad experience. I absolutely adored this game as a kid and didn’t have hardly any of the difficulties that you seemed to be having. I’d pull the game out often and finish it handedly in one sitting. I especially loved the music and I thought the game boy did well to adapt the NES OST to its hardware.
