Bluth, Goldman (and sometimes Dyer) actually did record video commentaries to all three games, but so far as I know those commentaries have only been officially released on the three BluRay editions that Digital Leisure put out around 2007-2008 (each game got a separate release, no compilation or bundle). Some of those discs have really gone up in price on the after-market since they’ve been “out of print” for years, but sometimes a reasonably-priced one pops up on ebay. Considering the question of “value,” I can’t really say that incentive justifies the purchases, but they are out there.

It brought back SO many memories. I was one of the kids that spent a bunch of quarters playing Dragon’s Lair in the arcade and it is a memory that stands out to me to this day. Never completed it (at least in the arcade), but it was fun trying. And you’re right, you knew it wasn’t a real ‘game’ at the time, but the promise for what games might be in the future was mind-blowing. Truly a game ahead of its time.
