Since then, I found another Lolo-inspired indie gem, SpyLeaks, which I liked so much that I included it in my Indie Royale bundle back in 2013. While those games […]

Readers of mine suggested […]

As demonstrated by Gateways, Spy Leaks, Aesop’s Garden, and several other titles where I was the only critic that actually finished […]

And I don’t dislike the shooter parts either. I’m all for this kind of weirdness! If anyone remembers the Commodore 64 “Franky Goes to Hollywood” game (a cross between The Sims, puzzlers, free roaming adventure, party games and arcade madness) well, I loved that so a few shooter levels stuck in a puzzler doesn’t faze me!
Loved D&D too, great updates also.
Incidentally, being a huge Xbox indie nut (I have over 100 titles now) I’ve found myself buying certain leaderboard games without even trying the trial now. Dangerous, yes, but I am yet to be disappointed!

the shooter section was made because the game was meant to be made this way.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I wanted Spyleaks to be like this, a free choice of what to do with my skills and creativity. No procrastination or lazyness: I wanted to make a shooter inside a puzzle, that’s it!
Some other people really enjoyed this choice to blend two genres of game… they call it “gameception”.

If you try the game you’ll find that the shooter sections are really enjoyable and well balanced.
Try the game and let me know 😉

That’s why my game turns into Angry Birds every five levels, and that’s also why it’s not done yet. 🙂
