Sorry, I misspoke a bit, I was thinking of continuing as in passwords, or some method to continue after turning the game off that isn’t necessarily saving. I don’t need a save, but I’d like a password!

There IS a continue feature. Unlimited continues, as far as I can tell. There’s no SAVE feature though.

I wanted to play it on original hardware, but without even a password feature, I eventually just played the ROM instead. Still a great game, and I haven’t finished it yet, I think I’m in the last world, but I just feel a password would have gone a long way. Nice review!
