For me, I look at replaying games as time that I lose getting to play new games. It’s that simple.

None. Never once. Nor have I ever played through a game even three times. At most, I’ll play through a game once on one difficulty and once on a harder difficulty, then move on to something else.”

For whatever reason, this is the main and possibly only thing that will stick with me after this review, and I think it’s why I disagree with you on roughly 90% of your reviews…well, of games that aren’t unplayable crap, of course. I love going back through games, usually with some sort of extra goal in mind than just completion. I mean, I played through Soulcaster four times just YESTERDAY trying for a faster speed run, and I’m pretty sure I’m nearing completing that game for like the 50th time. No exaggeration. Super Ninja Warrior Extreme, I just played through that three times an hour ago. It’s another game I’m trying to speed run and will probably take about seven minutes tops for a complete playthrough once I’ve got things figured out more, but hey. Radiangames Crossfire 2? I used to play that three or four times a NIGHT trying to regain or keep my spot of 1st on the leaderboard. I’ve beaten Bleed, Castle Crashers, or Castlevania Symphony of the Night before only to immediately start playing again without even thinking about it.

I think the thing about this is that it’s turned me into a very different gamer than you. Not a better or worse one, just a different one. I look at each game like a linguist looks at a new language. What’s its root? How difficult is it to learn? Can I draw on anything else I know to help me learn it? How long until I become fluent? To me, a lot of games are like new languages. Especially if it’s a game I enjoy immensely or one that challenges me (or if it’s a multiplayer game that gets deeper as players get better). You seem more like the journeyman with wanderlust. Tons of experiences and stories, a bunch of bug bites, and the occasional trip to the local emergency room because how did YOU know the berries were poisonous? Yeah, you might not perfectly know your way around every place you’ve encountered, but you could definitely tell me something interesting about each.

tl;dr – Escape Goat is awesome for everyone.
