A really weird thing with LED Storm: in 1988 it was ported to home computers (C64 version possibly the best, from memory) despite never actually being released in the arcades. What seems to have happened is that Go! (the publisher that did the ports) got to play LED Storm before it was re-jigged and ruined as the inferior Mad Gear and were told that it was going to be released in the arcades so they had the home versions programmed and released in the UK (and presumably wider Europe) as an “arcade port”. Was only much much later people discovered why a game they’d seen advertised as an “arcade hit” wasn’t one anyone ever seemed to have actually played in an arcade.

Anyway, it’s good that Capcom have seen sense and released it now as part of their back catalogue.
