Thank you very much. There’s something about the NES TMNT that made me want to love it. It’s got that Konami charm going for it. I hate that I didn’t. I really did come into this (as I do every game) with as clean a slate as humanly possible. It just didn’t work for me. Except the first level. I really like the first level a lot.

I feel so fortunate that they made this amazing retro collection, for a retro game fan and a TMNT fan, it’s something so good I never thought it would happen (that and Shredder’s Revenge). It’s funny, I love love love the first TMNT game on NES, though know a lot of people don’t. I agree that they could certainly use more distinct move sets, like Radical Rescue. But the weird enemy selection never really bothered me, I kind of thought the strange made up enemies were kind of charming, like the fire guy and the frog man. I finished it again when Cowbunga Collection came out, and still love playing it. Some of it is certainly nostalgia, no doubt about that, but I think it still played better than a lot of other NES games we had to choose from back then. Anyway! Sorry to ramble, I like the game is all, and enjoyed your reviews!

Hyperstone Heist is difficult as I remember it. Wish Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES) had a God mode.
